Nutrition support that fits your real life.

Hi, I'm Jo. I'm a registered dietitian and I help people build a healthier relationship with food. Not through diets or rules, but through understanding what actually works for you.

About Jo

Nutrition that fits around real life.

I've spent over eight years working across acute, community, private and digital health, specialising in oncology and pancreatic care. That experience taught me that nutrition advice only works when it fits around someone's actual life, not the other way around.

I don't believe in fad diets or one-size-fits-all meal plans. Just evidence-based guidance and compassionate support, built around what you can realistically keep up.

Jo has helped me to become more aware of my emotional eating cues and how I think about food. It has taken a long time to start but I'm glad I reached out and had some professional advice.

Questions

Things people ask.

If yours isn't here, just ask in your enquiry.

Do I need a referral from my GP?

No. You can get in touch directly. If you're already under a consultant or specialist team it's worth letting me know, so I can make sure what we do fits alongside your existing care.

Can I book one consultation, or will I need follow-ups?

Some people need follow-ups to work through dietary guidelines and get further guidance. Others only need the initial assessment. We can talk about which makes sense for you on the free discovery call, before you commit to anything.

Why a dietitian and not a nutritionist?

Dietitian is a regulated healthcare title. It means accredited university training, clinical placements, and ongoing professional standards, and it's what qualifies me to assess and treat nutritional problems linked to medical conditions. Nutritionist isn't always regulated, and in many places anyone can use the title without any formal training. Some registered nutritionists are properly qualified, but the title alone doesn't guarantee it. With nutrition advice everywhere you look, it's worth knowing who you're taking it from.

Are sessions online or in person?

All appointments are fully virtual, at a time that suits you. In practice this works just as well as being in the room, and it means no travel or parking.

Will you put me on a diet?

No. I don't believe in fad diets or one-size-fits-all meal plans. The work is about finding an approach to eating that fits your life and that you can keep up once our sessions have finished.

Do you support people on GLP-1 medications?

Yes, and it's an area I specialise in. If you're on Mounjaro, Ozempic, Wegovy or similar, I can help you manage side effects, keep your intake adequate, protect muscle, and plan for what happens if you come off the medication.

What if I need to cancel?

Just let me know at least 24 hours beforehand and we'll rearrange, no charge.
